Our next Hats 4 Hope kit assembly will be on May 7th at the Prairie Athletic Club in Sun Prairie, WI. These kits are distributed at hospitals, clinics, medical centers, and to midwives that deliver babies in developing countries.

Blankets NeededThe following is a list of the items needed for the Hats 4 Hope kits: quilts, afghans, blankets, sleepers, hats, booties, socks, t-shirts, cloth diapers, plastic pants, bars of baby soap and teething toys. Baby clothes should be 0-6 month size and may be gently used, clean, handmade, or store-bought.

Since 2014 Hope 2 Others has distributed baby survival kits to new mothers in Guatemala, The Philippines, and Africa.

 

There are several locations to drop off your donations. The Colonial Club, Sun Prairie’s Senior Center, is a year-round local drop off site. UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital in Madison and the Prairie Athletic Club in Sun Prairie will accept baby items for the two weeks before the Hats 4 Hope kit assembly, from April 23 – May 6, 2017. Nancy Zieman of Sewing With Nancy is also accepting blanket donations through September 1st. The blankets, afghans, or quilts should be dropped off or mailed to Blanket Donations, Nancy Zieman Productions, LLC, 211 Corporate Dr, Ste D, Beaver Dam WI 53916.
